What is a post-frame building?
A building where treated posts set in the ground carry the load instead of the walls. That gives you wide-open spans with no interior walls, and a faster, more affordable build than stick framing.
What does Maxwell Barn Company build?
Houses, barns, sheds, garages, shops, and commercial buildings, including barndominiums and shop-house combos. We build the shell with the exterior finished, including windows and doors.
How wide and how long can a building be?
Free span buildings go up to 50 feet wide, wider with a row of interior posts, and any length you want. Lengths in 5 foot increments are the most efficient.
How tall can the walls be?
Up to 16 foot sidewalls on a single story building.
How long does a build take?
Usually 2 to 3 weeks. Our crew frames the building, grades it, pours the concrete, then installs the windows, doors, insulation, and metal.
What is the building made of?
6x6 treated posts set about 32 inches in the ground on 10 foot centers, engineered trusses on 5 foot centers, and Central States Panel Loc Plus 29 gauge steel (26 gauge is optional) with a 40 year limited paint warranty.
Do you pour the concrete?
Yes. Floors are 4 inch, 3500 psi concrete reinforced with steel, with a termite pretreat and a moisture barrier. We can also frame the building ready for you to pour later, or build on an existing slab.
Where does Maxwell Barn Company build?
Within about one hour and 15 minutes of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, including Springdale, Fayetteville, Rogers, Bentonville, Bella Vista, Prairie Grove, Tahlequah, Stilwell, and Westville.
Can I pick my colors before it is built?
Yes. Our online designer uses the Central States steel colors we build with, so you can try roof, wall, and trim combinations and send your pick along with your quote request.
How do I get a price?
Call or text (479) 238-3654, or fill out the quote form with your footprint. After the quote, we visit the site with you to confirm the footprint, doors, finishes, and anything specific to your land.
